Waterman Beach Village Camp and Glamping

"Brac is beautiful- this resort was a fantastic base for our family of 3. We had a small studio bungalow which was perfectly situated within easy reach of the little beach. The beds were comfy, air con worked fine - it was clean and fresh - shower would run cold after 2 of us had a shower in the evening. Beach - small and rocky! Loungers 6e each to hire, sea shoes are vital - the beach the water is crystal clear, there are lots or sea urchins - access ow a bit tricky. Our room was not very private and would have benefited for a screen/net/blind for the patio door for when we were changing We used the panini grill for toasted sandwiches - there are supermarkets and mini markets within easy reach. The hob was touch and go and we didn’t try and figure out if the microwave had an oven function. Instructions could be better The town is a 15 minute stroll along the beach and to the harbour We didn’t try the onsite restaurant we ate out 6/7 nights at the lovely restaurants We took the public bus to bol and visited zlatni rat - about an hours scenic journey and a 20 minute stroll to the beach It’s not a lively place it’s a beautiful piece of heaven for a restful break"

"We have just returned from waterman beach village and was our first trip to Croatia. We booked a package through Jet2 and have to say they did a brilliant job ensuring we arrived to the accommodation and back to the airport without any issues considering you need to get a coach, boat and a taxi, no issues at all. The accommodation is basic and I wouldn’t say 4* BUT it was very clean, we got fresh towels most days and the site was spotless. Staff were really helpful and helped us plan budget friendly trips. It’s a great base to explore the island. The pools are very small but ok for a quick cool off. We used the sister hotel one day which the kids loved having access the big pool, but it’s a decent walk took about 25 mins. Couple of things to improve the accommodation, there was only one mirror in the bathroom and there is hardly any storage for clothes and no space to store suitcases out of the way. The only issue we had at the accommodation was the ants, they were everywhere! Also mosquitoes were a big issue we got eaten alive so take lots of repellent. There is access to washers on site which were a huge help to wash the beach towels. We also used the communal BBQ one day which was great. The site is about 5 minutes walk to Lidl and about 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the beach. The closest beach is basically rock and wasn’t suitable for our kids to paddle even with sea shoes so if you walk alittle further you’ll find plenty of other beaches. Supertar felt really safe and locals were really friendly. There’s plenty of places to eat and all reasonably priced. Average cost for family of 4 main meal and 2 drinks each range from €70 to €120 then we would get ice creams from stalls for pudding at €2 each. The bakeries were amazing too fresh coffee and pastries. We took the local bus to Bol one day, cost €28 for family 4 return, bargain and took about an hour each way. Definitely worth a trip. We also went to split for the day, we took the car ferry which took 50 mins and cost about €30 return. The site is so peaceful and was just what we needed. We travelled with two kids aged 12 and 7, and it’s not the usual holiday we go on but wanted a changed and we all loved it! Particularly my youngest she didn’t want to leave. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend."

"This holiday was all we expected and more. The location was perfect, very close to the beach and harbour as mentioned in other reviews. The campsite was an oasis of calm and we loved our little house and plunge pool. The staff all worked very hard, were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The house keeping was excellent with frequent fresh towels and floor cleaning. It was easy to travel by ferry to split and the harbour area was picturesque with lovely restaurants to choose from. The beaches were not at all crowded and the crystal clear sea was perfect for snorkelling. We enjoyed our holiday so much we have booked to return next year to this tranquil location."
