"Misrepresented room, towel service that doesn’t work, and a USED towel left out as “fresh.” Avoid. Booked a “Standard Side Sea View” room for a family of three (with a 4-year-old) and got something that looks nothing like the photos on the hotel’s own website. The room is tiny — so cramped we were practically sleeping on top of each other. To make space, staff shoved a side table into the bathroom under the sink, so the bathroom door won’t even close properly. When we asked at reception to move or to pay for an upgrade, we were flatly told “all the rooms are the same.” That’s simply not true — guests on the upper floors have far better rooms, and the website photos prove it. Housekeeping is a daily failure. For three straight days we were left with one towel or none at all, forcing us back to reception every single time to wait around an hour for towels that should already be in the room. Every time: “it’s a housekeeping issue, we noted it.” And every time it happened again. Then it got genuinely disturbing. We came back from the beach to a “cleaned” room with a single towel laid out by the sink as if fresh. It was visibly dirty and smelled — clearly unwashed. A used towel, presented as clean, for a family with a small child to use. That is a serious hygiene problem, full stop. I reported it and asked for the manager; all I got back was that he’s “aware of the housekeeping issue and handling it.” That means nothing. For a hotel that markets itself as 3-star, this is unacceptable. We’ve documented everything in writing and with photos. Save yourself the stress — there are far better options in Protaras."
