Charles Bridge Palace

"Our first time in Prague so we selected the Charles Bridge Palace hotel for its rates and its location. Only minutes from the Charles Bridge...and about a 10-minute walk to historic Old Town Square. The hotel is clean and bright and interesting with staircases and long hallways. Our room was more than spacious! And so was the bathroom!! We had space to store our luggage and hang some clothes. And a nice table and chair to sit and get organized each day. And we had a view of the river! Our bed was very comfortable. The complimentary buffet breakfast is incredible...so many choices you can't possibly try everything and you definitely won't leave hungry."

"The hotel is set at the rear of a block, away from a main traffic route, overlooking a small quiet square. A hotel that greets you with it’s very elegant interior, and one that is well located; for a short stroll soon takes you into the heart of the Old City. For the longer journeys the Karlovy Lazne tram stop is just a few steps away. The ever welcome benefit of a lift took us to our room 312. That was very spacious indeed; both bedroom and bathroom. That it had no view of no consequence, as it was pleasantly quiet even with the distant rumble of the trams ( and the Prague police fulfilling their quota of how many times they sounded their sirens ! ). The room was clean and well presented with such niceties as a fridge and kettle. Whilst the bed base was two singles, at least the mattress was a double so ensuring a good nights sleep. There was the luxury of a 55 inch screen tv with the usual streaming channels, which seemed ideal as we are not all night party animals. However as the wi-fi signal varied from extremely poor to non-existent this luxury was somewhat useless for much of our visit. Did mention this to reception, who of course sitting next to the router said all was as it should be. And said they would get IT to look into it, but they never did. Wife not too happy about the usual European ‘air-conditioning’, that broke down at one point. Breakfast was a saving grace, being one of the better serve yourself buffet sort with plenty of choice. Overall our stay was a very pleasant and comfortable one, so I can recommend this as an ideal base to explore the wonders of Prague. Just get the wi-fi sorted !"

"This hotel is sensational. The staff were amazing. Great reception staff who were so helpful. Our first visit to Prague and they could answer all of our questions and gave great advice. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were also so nice, welcoming and efficient. Lovely character hotel with LARGE rooms and beautiful marble bathrooms. The whole place was dripping with antiques and chandeliers but not pretentious. Loved it. Very handy to restaurants, shopping, scenic highlights, and great for walking around the old city. Our room overlooked the historic Charles Bridge and the river."
