"I booked this hotel for one night after overseas flight before checking into an air B&B. I was able to check in early at 11:30 which was great. the room was just like it was advertised and people had reviewed on line. I booked directly with hotel (I never use 3rd parties-due to sometimes an issue if you have a problem). it was a tiny room with a tiny bathroom. however, it was clean, safe, and bed was very comfortable. AC is rare in denmark so i always have a travel fan always. If you are staying more than a night or two OR you are large/tall, probably not the place for you. for one nigh it was perfect"

"CABINN City is running a systemic, predatory "bait-and-switch" operation targeted at international travelers booking through third-party platforms like Capital One, Expedia, and Booking.com. I booked a premium room tier for my daughter and myself, but upon arrival, we were shoved into a cramped, inferior standard room with an overhead bunk bed. When I immediately confronted the hotel about the photo discrepancy, I was eventually moved to a "Captain Room," but staff admitted their system doesn't even have a "Standard Queen" category despite letting booking sites sell it. The true rot of this hotel was exposed later by desk staff Carsten and Wilfredo. When I became ill and had to extend my stay, Carsten explicitly warned me that if I re-booked through Capital One—even if the screen clearly showed the Captain Room photo—their backend system would automatically downgrade me to a tiny bunk-bed room anyway. He openly admitted, "This happens all the time and people are always upset about it." To get the room I actually paid for, they forced me into an extortionate direct-booking trap on their own website, charging me an extra $100+ USD premium. I even witnessed a family of four from Bristol who booked via Capital One get subjected to the exact same scam—stuffed into a tiny room with nowhere to sleep, forced to stay awake all night before fleeing the hotel. When my credit card company called the desk to investigate, the hotel completely changed their story, aggressively claiming a corporate policy of giving guests "whatever room is available at the time," regardless of the paid contract. Beyond the financial fraud, the physical conditions are a severe, hazardous building code violation (BR18). The room had zero climate control—it was completely unheated, non-air-conditioned, and had absolutely no functioning ventilation. To make matters worse, the bathroom emitted a potent, overpowering stench of raw sewage all night long. The plumbing setup is highly unorthodox and unhygienic, featuring an illegal interconnected shower and sink faucet line with no backflow prevention valve, risking drinking water contamination. The shower itself was completely defective, lacking any knobs, dials, or levers to regulate temperature or pressure, presenting an immediate scalding hazard due to unregulated high-temp water. As a diabetic, being trapped in a stagnant room with raw sewage gas and no ventilation forced me to sleep with the balcony door wide open in freezing wind gusts. I have become severely ill as a direct result. When I confronted the manager, Karim, about these biohazards, unstable water, and complete lack of ventilation, his response was entirely unacceptable. He showed zero willingness to help, dismissively stating nothing but a blunt "OK" while sarcastically smirking and bobbing his head, showing a complete disregard for guest health and safety. I have legally recorded audio files of Karim, Carsten, and Wilfredo admitting to these practices and dismissing these health hazards to protect my case. A formal dispute has been launched with Capital One, and full reports are being filed with the Danish Consumer Ombudsman and the City of Copenhagen’s Technical and Environmental Administration. Avoid this biohazard and fraudulent operation at all costs."

"We were only in Copenhagen for a one-night, quick, budget-conscious trip, hence we chose this hotel. We liked the location. We got a bus from the airport to a stop right by the Cabinn City Hotel on Mitchellsgade. Also the hotel was easy walking distance from Tivoli Gardens, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and Radhuspladsen. Our room was tiny. We expected this, and it was fine for one night, but it would be a struggle with suitcases. The bathroom was OK but was a wet room, really. There was no shower tray, so the shower was just in the corner with a curtain around it. Anything nearby would get wet, but we were able to avoid that. The room felt too warm to us. This is apparently an eco-friendly hotel and perhaps a little TOO well insulated for a warm day. It felt stuffy in our room and the corridors, like we wanted to open a window and have some air circulating. But it was fine for one night. Our rate included breakfast. We were happy with the choices available - it was a buffet style. We didn't have much interaction with the staff but those we spoke to on reception were friendly."
