Caves Beach Resort

"2nd time visiting for us after coming in January and loving it. So many names to mention. We upgraded to a premium room before arrival which they handled for us and had ready for us arriving. The room over looked the swim up bar bedrock. The staff here were faultless. Mohammed and Mohammed the bar staff were amazing, never had an empty glass, making sure you were looked after and not needing anything. The restaurant staff again faultless, me and my fiance Jack both said there is nothing these staff wouldn’t do for you. Syed, Hamada looked out for us the entire week. Of course a special mention to manager Hassany whose cheeky grin can’t help but make you smile. Our house keeper Alex was amazing, rooms were spotless and the towel art gave us a smile every day! Back to bedrock now, and the ultimate mention goes to Hussain the lifeguard. Who worked 10 hour days in the gruelling sun, no request was too big, he is an absolute blessing to the caves and we adored his company and humour. Would we recommend the caves, having been twice and both times being fantastic. Yes we absolutely would."

"We have just returned from a week at Cave Beach Resort in Hurghada, Egypt, where my daughter and I stayed in an upgraded swim-up room. I'll start by saying that my first impressions of Egypt weren't great. The airport experience was disappointing, with security staff appearing rude and insisting on cash payments rather than card. On arrival at the hotel, we were told we could only have one key card between us due to an electricity-saving policy. As I was travelling with my daughter, who has epilepsy, this simply wasn't practical. Thankfully, after speaking with the holiday rep the following day, the issue was resolved and we were provided with a second card. We paid an additional £450 for the swim-up room. Was it worth the extra money? In hindsight, probably not, but it was a nice addition to have during our stay. The real highlight of this hotel is the staff. The bar staff, pool staff, and entertainment team work incredibly hard and genuinely made our holiday enjoyable. A special mention must go to Unique, Rio, and Chloe from the entertainment team, who were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. They brought great energy, made everyone feel welcome, and really helped create some wonderful memories. I'd also like to give a huge thank you to Mustafa, the lifeguard, who couldn't have been more helpful, kind, and attentive. He is a real credit to the resort. Unfortunately, both my daughter and I became quite ill with stomach problems during our stay and required treatment at the on-site clinic, including IV drips. We were far from alone, as several other guests seemed to be experiencing similar issues. I'd always heard people talk about "Egyptian tummy" and assumed it was exaggerated, but sadly that wasn't our experience. The mosquitoes were also a significant problem, and between the illness and the bites, it did affect our overall enjoyment of the holiday. Would I return? Probably not. The illness and mosquito issues have put us off returning. However, the staff deserve enormous credit. Without the dedication, kindness, and professionalism of people like Mustafa, Unique, Rio, and Chloe, our holiday could have been a very different experience. Overall, Cave Beach Resort has some wonderful staff and a unique setting, but unfortunately our experience was overshadowed by illness and a few frustrations along the way."
