What Steigenberger Royale - 7nt Nile Cruise has to offer

    Day 1 – Embarkation in Luxor

    Fly from the UK to Luxor and when you arrive, you'll hop on a transfer to your ship, ready for the start of your Nile cruise. You'll check in and get settled into your cabin, and the ship will remain in Luxor overnight.

    Day 2 – Luxor, Esna, and Edfu

    This morning is your chance to explore some of Luxor's highlights – tick off the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After a morning exploring, board the ship again and sail to Edfu via the Esna Lock. The ship will dock overnight in Edfu.

    • 13:00 Lunch & sail to Edfu via Esna (Approx.11 hrs)

    Day 3 – Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan

    While docked in Edfu for the morning, disembark and pay a visit to the Edfu Temple, which is dedicated to Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris. The ship will sail to Kom Ombo in the afternoon, where you can visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Once everyone is back on board, the ship will continue down the river to Aswan.

    Day 4 – Aswan

    The ship will be docked in Aswan all day, so it's the perfect opportunity to visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae. You could also fit in a relaxing trip on a felucca to take in views of the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island as you sail past. The ship will remain docked in Aswan overnight.

    Day 5 – Aswan

    You'll wake up in Aswan again today. In the morning, head over to Abu Simbel Temple, an ancient wonder that's well worth looking around. Spend the rest of the day on the ship making the most of the onboard facilities.

    • Optional visit*: Abu Simbel Temple (bookable and payable onboard)
    • Coach transfer from the ship to Abu Simbel (3.5 hours)
    • Tour of the two Temples of Abu Simbel (2 hours)
    • Lunch at a local Nubian restaurant
    • Coach transfer back to the ship (3.5 hours)
    • 19:30 Dinner
    • Overnight in Aswan

    Day 6 – Aswan, Kom Ombo, and Edfu

    The ship will start sailing to Kom Ombo early, so it's likely you'll wake up there. Squeeze in an early morning visit to the Kom Ombo Temple after breakfast before hopping back on the ship to sail on to Edfu. Here, you'll have some free time to explore before the ship starts sailing back towards Luxor.

    Day 7 – Luxor

    Set sail for your final destination of Luxor before enjoying one last dinner onboard. Finish off a perfect evening with a show featuring belly dancing and whirling dervishes.

    Day 8 – Disembark in Luxor

    Check out of your cabin and disembark the ship. Ahead of your transfer to Luxor Airport for your return flight to the UK, you'll have the opportunity to to do a bit of last minute shopping in Luxor.

    This impressive vessel boasts comfortable 19m² cabins, a whole host of fantastic facilities to make every one of your seven nights onboard something to remember. Expect a level of luxury akin to a five-star hotel, although you're now surrounded by the exquisite sights and sounds of the Nile River. 

    The top deck's outdoor pool and sun terrace is your place to unwind, and enjoy a spot of sunbathing. Grab an ice-cold cocktail at the pool bar or head to the swanky lounge area and settle down with a glass of your favourite tipple There's a buffet restaurant, too, and an area with fitness equipment to ensure you never have to miss a workout.
