A room with a view in Nabq Bay
The Charmillion Club Resort couldn’t be closer to the beach – it’s pulled up on a stretch of caramel-coloured sand, just outside Nabq Bay. Just off the shore, you’ll find a coral reef that makes the perfect snorkelling spot – it’s teeming with rainbow-coloured fish. It sits just across the Red Sea from Tiran Island, so sunset views are pretty special.
Head into the hotel’s grounds and you’ll find a huge freeform pool edged by plenty of sun loungers and shade-giving parasols. There’s also a separate pool for little ones if they want to make a splash when they’re not in the playground or enjoying the activities at the hotel-run kids’ club.
Fancy some extra pampering during your holiday? The health club is for you. It’s kitted out with a sauna, a Jacuzzi, a steam room and a Turkish bath. Plus, you can book in for beauty treatments or massages. If that sounds too slow paced for you, you can take the tempo up a notch with a workout in the gym, or get involved with games of beach volleyball, tennis and ping pong. There’s also a watersports centre on-site if you’d like to give diving a go – the Red Sea is home to some of the world’s best coral reefs. And after dark, there’s live entertainment and a disco.
When it comes to food, you’ve got three restaurants to choose from. One is an international buffet place, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then there are two à la carte eateries offering French cuisine and seafood. You can also grab light bites from the poolside snack bar.
