Hotel L'Abbaye

"Solo traveller but part of an organised tour. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the station should you want to enjoy the small Corsican trains and many do. You can get from Calvi to Ajaccio but you will need to change trains, worth the trip and not expensive for the journey. The port front is just a little further with a wealth of places to eat and buy supplies. The citadel is also easy to reach from the hotel. The hotel is on a quiet road and there is parking opposite the hotel. Warm welcome and the staff really cannot do enough for you. My room was on the front, blackout curtains mean you can keep any light out. Rooms have a good bathroom, tea/coffee in the room with kettle and coffee machine. Safe and plenty of storage. There is a beautiful pool, with loungers and a raised bar seating area to relax in the sun too. The drinks etc are not cheap but they are reasonable I thought overall for the comfort and service. There is a lift to the rooms and the food in the restaurant is very good. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation."

"The hotel is good, great location, staff were good, has private parking, a private pool… We had a good stay no 5 stars just as it had not got that extra “je ne sais quoi” that extra more/special but we would happily stay here again"

"Beuatiful building with a lovely pool area and some pretty funky art in the common areas. Unfortunately the aircon in all our rooms hardly worked at all which is no great when there is a heatwave. Also bathrooms are absolutely tiny, Rooms themselves are a decent size. Staff were excellent with really great service."
