"Comfortable and soundproof room, a delicious and extensive breakfast, and very friendly staff. The metro is close by, so we reached Boulevard Haussmann with its famous big stores in less than half an hour. The underground parking is a major plus. In the evening it was very quiet with no noise at night."

"We enjoy staying at Barcelo resorts and stays in many different locations. The quality of the staff is generally very high. The breakfast and dinners that we have are quality à la carte. The beds are always very comfortable and they are stationed at great locations. The Occidental was in a very nice little area where we could walk to the Seine river and We were in walking distance to numerous stores and shops. This is the business district so you will be using transit quite often to go to certain monumental places. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. Thank you, Occidental Barcelo."

"This place sucks. It smells. No AC. Ice machine is something from a 1950s roadside motel. No food or coffee available until 9 am and that is not even in the hotel. The wood on the doors are delaminating. Drain plug in tub is not attached so to drain tub you have to use you finger nails to pull it out. No wash cloths. Bell hop is talking on phone while looking at you. Had to walk a block to hotel entrance with luggage. The room maintains a constant 80 degrees F. What air that comes out is musty, much like they have not have ever cleaned the duct work."
