Modern pad in the Paris burbs

Paris… but make it suburban. Saint-Denis is one of the city’s biggest and best known ‘burbs, and is even home to Stade de France – hello sports fans – so it makes a great launchpad for exploring the city. It puts all the hustle and bustle of Paris at your fingertips when you want it, and offers a quieter place to crash when you’ve had your fill. It’s all about balance.

First things first: getting into the city. Express trains head towards central from the station just three minutes’ walk from the hotel, so no need to stress over how you’re gonna see the sights. Eiffel Tower? You can make it door to door in about 35 minutes. Montmartre? About half an hour – the same as it’ll take to make it the Champs Elysées.
