Ibis Styles Paris Bercy

"The location is extremely convenient for Paris Gare de Lyon and even has a metro literally next door, if you don't fancy the ten minute walk from the main station. There is a Franprix on the same block and plenty of bar/cafés close by, although didn't manage to find a decent restaurant in the immediate vicinity. Upon arrival, the reception staff were very helpful and courteous. The room itself, was perfectly adequate for a one or two night stay, but I would find it a bit cramped, for any longer. Very disappointing that the only vending machine serving hot drinks was out of order and even more disappointing that two out of three lifts were out of service. For a hotel with 361 rooms, that really isn't acceptable, as was obvious from the resultant chaos, around departure time. The breakfast staff were ok, without being exceptional, but the food on offer was pretty disappointing, with the only hot choice being toast it yourself, poor quality bread. Two of the three cheeses on offer were virtually tasteless and the machine-delivered coffee was very weak, without the usual facility, to make it stronger. I would stay again, if en route via Gare de Lyon, but it was disappointing overall."

"The hotel gave away my room to someone else despite a confirmed booking. The reception staff even had the audacity to say that because it was a Saturday, they give away rooms due to higher demand and they can make more money. Then they put me in another downgraded hotel far away. It was a terrible experience. The hotel staff did not even apologize for it. Nor have they responded to the complaint on email."

"From far, this was the worst Ibis Styles I ever stayed at, and even worse, the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. We had to leave it after being mistreated and threatened by their staff at breakfast, which is horrible by the way! Not even one hot plate, even the boiled eggs are the canned ones. Staff at breakfast are rude and treat you like rubbish, they also tell you to clean up your table, as if it was your job. They were supposed to refund our last 2 nights, because we had to leave the hotel and they never did! It Looks like we need to take them to court to have our money back! Stay away from this property!"
