"I recently stayed at Villa Lutèce Port Royal, and honestly, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The main issue was the air conditioning, which barely worked during the summer heat—the room was like an oven. The carpets smelled terrible and were full of dust. If you suffer from allergies, do not stay here—it’s a serious health hazard. I have no idea how this place is rated 4 stars. I live in the U.S., and this is nowhere near 4-star standards. Another disturbing detail: the staff locks the main entrance at night out of fear of robbery or assault. That alone creates an atmosphere of insecurity that no guest should have to deal with. The only redeeming quality was the friendly staff, but that does not make up for how run-down the hotel is. It’s dusty, dirty, and poorly maintained. I’d give it half a star, and that’s being generous."

"This hotel should NOT have a 4-star rating! When I arrived the entrance door was broken. After arriving through an alternative entrance, I saw that the elevator was broken. In my room, there were holes in the walls, a big chunk of the furniture where the mini bar was had a big chunk of wood missing. The only window in the room faced a big corrugated plastic roof. When I asked the front desk for another room I was told that they were completely full. I called booking.com to request a refund and was advised that - even thought it was through their app - this was done through a 3rd party so I needed to resolve it with the hotel. I will not be using booking.com again"

"BEWARE: This Hotel Allows Theft & Covers for Their Staff – Stay Away! I cannot stress this enough—DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel not only allows theft but actively gaslights guests who become victims. During my stay, over $1,200 was stolen from my luggage while I was out of the room. When I approached management, hoping they would take accountability or at least investigate, I was met with denial, dismissiveness, and blatant gaslighting. They insisted that their staff could never have taken it, completely ignoring the fact that no one else had access to my room. This experience forced me to leave a day early and scramble to find another hotel at the last minute, adding even more stress and financial burden to an already awful situation. Aside from the blatant theft, the hotel itself is an absolute nightmare. The rooms are ridiculously small and reek of a foul, musty odor. The lack of cleanliness is shocking—we even found used needles under the bed, which is beyond disgusting and a serious health hazard. This place is unsafe, unclean, and unapologetically dishonest. Save yourself the frustration, financial loss, and potential danger—STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE."
