La Clef Louvre Paris

"Excellent location for museums lovers: The Louvre was a 5 minute walk away; l'0rangeri' and the D'Orsay were less than a 20 minute walk. Our exclusive suite had adequate room for the two of us. It was handy to have a kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine. Room was well maintained. Only negative was that there was very little counter space in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with lots of fresh options but no cooked to order ones. Honor bar in the lobby was a nice touch. There was a taxi stand a few minutes walk away, which was handy."

"I chose this hotel based on the location and general description. This is an older small, quaint hotel with true Parisian atmosphere. Located near the Louvre, it was the perfect choice. The room was amazing - we were on the 6th floor and had a little balcony with a table and chairs. It is on a quiet street. Every staff person was helpful and courteous, and the daily room care was excellent. We were given bottles of water daily at no charge, and there is a beverage center on the entry level that is always open for coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc. We opted not to have breakfast in the hotel, but this is available each morning. The kitchen set-up was much more than we needed (dishes, pans, utensils, etc.) but it all came in handy. We walked just a short distance to a circle with a taxi stand, so transportation was easy. The surrounding area is clean and safe, and holds many cafes with a variety of food for all meals. We found the central location perfect for walking to many sites (Louvre, Notre-Dame), and we visited the gardens at the Palais Royal several times. I would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed in room 508, a junior suite. It was quite small, and the worst part was that the hotel controlled the air conditioning. Even when the temperature outside was almost 80 degrees, our room was heated to full. We had to ask the hotel staff to turn off the heat, and it only happened on the third night of our stay. In addition to the air conditioning issue, the housekeeping needs improvement. The room was dusty, and obviously the floor was sandy. the front desk staff was indifferent and didn’t seem to care about our needs. It’s hard to believe that this is a five-star hotel."
