Holiday Inn Paris Palais de l'Elysee

"Beware that you may get a room at the ground floor by the lobby toilet, which looks like a cheap dirty motel. Even worse, there is no light at all as there is one very narrow window, so it is very dark. Even worse, you can hear everything that is going on on the street like the people passing by were actually in your room. Really horrible experience. After a sleepless night I checked online that there were rooms available but it took a long fight with a manager to get us moved upstairs. He agreed only when I said that I am not staying in this hell hole no matter what, and will simply find a different hotel. He tried offering me free breakfast (seriously?) while all I wanted was a normal sleep. I am uploading some pictures taken from the room."

"The room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 12pn but they allowed us to check in and leave our luggage which was very helpful. The staff was really nice and accommodating. Stayed in an accessible room on the ground floor. The room was noisy as the window is beside the street and it’s next to a connecting room. There was mould on the silicone in the bathroom, the single beds are tiny. It has a mini fridge, shower gel, shampoo, the floor is carpet, desk & chair plus small table & chair, bottled water. The telephone wasn’t working. No slippers or bath robes. I liked the downstairs hotel toilet decor and amenities"
