Garner Hotel Berlin - Wilmersdorf

I had a great room at the end of the hall and stayed alone so no complaints for noise or space. I also really enjoyed breakfast and every single staff I encountered was really friendly and accommodating. Thank you!"

"It's been a short while now that the hotel websites spill out GARNER Hotels all over Germany -at rather reasonable rates. So it was time to check it out: booked one night at their Wilmersdorf property and arrived quite late. I called ahead to confirm that I am coming and that the room is guaranteed -it seemed no problem, the FO staff member said on the phone 'no worry, just come, we wait for you' And they did. They gave me a nice room at the end of the corridor, away from elevator and service entrances, so I may have been too far away to catch any of the noise from other reviews -but there was really no noise audible. The room was not that small, but it had the open bathroom concept which is to get used too (I only found out the day after that there are actually sliding glasswalls with which you can close off the bathroom area completely. The bathroom was new, very clean, had super smelling lemongrass washing liquids and was really well lit and equipped. The room was nice, it had all you need. Small armchair, lowchair, an open garderobe with luggage space (I liked that so you can lift up the suitcase on that and open it). The room was also very clean, no complaints at all. It is in a bit plain purple-grey-black decor, but I actually liked it. My highlight was the bed -supercomfy, new mattresses and very nice linen and covers. And: the duvet is not synthetic as many other hotels do, no sweating under it. Overall, I had a great sleep, could prepare myself for the day and really enjoyed the stay. The only drawback was that there indeed was no proper desk, just a long narrow coffeetable under the TV. So if you want to work or dine in the room -you need to go to the lobby area or somewhere else (but that might have been only in my room). The staff was very friendly, in the short time I was there they were helpful and smiling. The metro is a bit of a walk away, about 8 minutes. And there are not many shops in the street, but Ku'damm is also only 8 min away. Give it a try, it's a nice new choice."
