"This place will be like marmite to most. Location is a 15 minute slow stroll to the main bay and beach, but once there, a whole host of great value tavernas, tourist shops and supermarkets. 5 minutes down the hill is a supermarket, cafe/bar and car rental. Quite a steep hill so not great if you have mobility issues and no car. Being set on the side of a hill, there are a few steps and inclines to be aware of around the hotel. Atmosphere in the hotel is very, very relaxed and friendly. Rooms are very basic but adequate, and cleaned well daily. Food will be a continuous subject here. Not a huge amount of choice compared to higher rated resorts, but what is served is nice and tasty. In my opinion, all round good value for money. I loved it here, but I can see it will split opinion. If you are after being fussed over all day long, lots of activities, evening entertainment, multiple food options, you need to pay the extra and go somewhere else. However if like me, your looking for a basic value base to get away from the norm, to be left alone to be yourself in a lovely resort on a beautiful island in the sun, then this place is perfect. A special mention has to go to Giannis (hopefully I spelled his name correctly 🙏🏻). This guy is some sort of hotel superman. He does literally everything around the place, everyday, all day. And all with a smile and enthusiasm, where nothing is too much. Also, the small team of cleaning and kitchen staff do a great job."
