"I can confidently say that this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and I am already planning my return visit!
From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Check-in was relaxed and welcoming – we were invited to sit down with a refreshing drink while the team introduced us to the hotel's app, which made reservations and accessing information incredibly easy. We were then whisked away to our room by buggy, which immediately added to the luxury feel of the stay.
Our room was beautiful, with stunning views over the pool and out to the sea. As I was travelling with a friend, I was initially a little disappointed to discover that the hotel only offers double beds rather than twins. However, reception quickly resolved this by providing separate duvets, which worked perfectly for us. The room itself was fantastic – the bed was wonderfully comfortable, the shower was incredible, and I loved the thoughtful touches such as the Nespresso machine and high-quality toiletries. We also had no issues with storage, despite some reviews mentioning otherwise.
The real highlight of Stella Blue for us was the pool area. I have officially been spoiled and don't think I'll ever be able to go back to blue plastic sunbeds again! The loungers were incredibly comfortable, and I loved lying back whilst keeping my feet cool in the pool - we never had any trouble finding or reserving a spot.
The food was great. Most days we enjoyed lunch at the pool bar restaurant, where the waiter service made for a wonderfully relaxing experience. We also loved Anima, located by the upper pool, which served some truly delicious Asian-inspired dishes. As guests in a luxury room, we had access to two breakfast venues, and Nomad quickly became our favourite. Breakfast there was outstanding, often accompanied by live music that created the perfect start to the day.
As many other guests have mentioned, the staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Most staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. A special mention must go to Alessio, who served us lovely coffees at breakfast and somehow managed to ensure our wine glasses were never empty in the evenings!
I genuinely felt myself relax the moment I arrived. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, stylish and effortlessly luxurious.
If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding water availability. Reception were always happy to send bottled water to our room, but it would be fantastic to have water refill stations around the resort so guests could top up reusable bottles without needing to call each day. We were also disappointed that the Reformer Pilates was fully booked on arrival but we did go on a waiting list and got a space later on in the week (but just for one of us which didn't work for us).
One evening there was a good acrobatic show followed by music and dancing, which was a real highlight. The remaining evenings were more low-key. While we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, a little more variety in the entertainment programme would make the evenings even better.
We didn't venture out very often because we loved being at Stella Blue so much, but we did take a stroll into town one day and enjoyed drinks at the Ocean Bar. During our week-long stay, we also made full use of the two à la carte restaurants, both of which were excellent. I would also highly recommend a visit to the spa.
I honestly can't wait to return to Stella Blue. I came home feeling completely refreshed, relaxed and calmer than I had in years. For anyone looking for a luxurious and tranquil escape with good food, beautiful surroundings and exceptional service, I couldn't recommend it more highly."
