Anna Maria Village

"We have just( less than 48 hours ago) returned from our week in Anna Maria Village......very clean....garden accommodation needs some updating as we booked with brother and sister- in-law.....we were given neighbouring apartments.....opposite kids pool.....very clean but certainly in need of update......the biggest problem was check out day.....out of apartment at 11 am.....pick up for our late flight was after 10 pm.......no showers or changing facilities........shower out side by the pool is not suitable!..........breakfast was included good choice but it is European..... however there is a supermarket next door for supplies.......but please be aware lots of building work around the area....roads very busy."

"My wife and I just returned home from a fabulous week staying at this hotel. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and very well kept, and if your anything like me and love cats, you'll be thrilled to see a couple of regulars pop up now and then to say hello as well! The rooms were basic, but very clean and had everything you needed/could want, the beds (or at least ours) are massive, so plenty of room for a good night sleep...nothing else obviously... The location is quiet, but it is a little put of the way of the main town heronissos, so you'll either need to pack some decent walking footwear or get a taxi there and back. (Taxis cost around 12 euros each way, download "freenow by lyft", its basically UBER for greece) Walking takes around 20-30 mins each way, but the way back there are a couple of killer hills which are real calve burners so be prepared! Saying that the walk is beautiful, and there are a couple of points you can stop off for a sit/beer/food along the way (theres a little greek taverna about 10 mins in which is worth a stop!) We had breakfast each morning, which was lovely, pretty much everything you could want, cereals, fruit, eggs, greek bacon, sausages, cold cuts, cheese all sorts! And stuff changes each day as well! And as mentioned before, if you're planning to walk a lot, fill up, as you'll need the energy to fuel it! The Spar next door is really handy as well, if you want some snacks, beers etc to take back to your room or even for souvenirs, it has it all (its open late as well (shuts at midnight i think), so if get back late and want a cheeky mythos its just over 6 euro for a 4 pack...win win! Overall i would HIGHLY recommend this place, and would 100% return, the staff are friendly and helpful, the pool area is lush, although it does lack a pool bar and nightly entertainment, which isnt too much of a bother if you like to explore in the evenings anyway like we do. If you’re after a reasonably affordable holiday, to kick back, soak up some sun and dont mind some walking or getting a taxi to get around, then this is the place for you!"

"Lovely peaceful & beautifully maintained environment with a stunning swimming pool with all around sunshine on comfy sunbeds. Wonderful Village Green bar/cafe on site with fantastic baristas & delicious cocktails. Vassilis & his team are so welcoming & made us feel at home. We really enjoyed our half board stay and our chef is absolutely brilliant she prepares everything herself & her salad buffet each evening is a wondrous culinary delight showcasing Crete’s most delicious fresh vegetables. Car couldn’t wait for our breakfast & supper here it’s so lovely & ate poolside 😎"
