Alai Crete a Tribute Portfolio Resort

"We stayed here for six nights and absolutely loved the hotel. The staff were friendly, the buffet breakfast was expansive and pleasant and the rooms nice and modern (albeit quite compact). The pool area has three sections with the shallower one at the far end (better for young children), which is not near the baby pool. They are not heated so it was on the chillier side. Seating was plentiful both on the beach front and in the pool area. Parking is available in an offsite lot owned by the hotel with a keyed entry/exit point. One thing that made no sense is the elevator requires a key to be used to go to the lobby level. First time we see this and that needs to be changed. It's not only a fire hazard but makes no logical sense (whereas every other floor does make sense)."

"I am a Platinum Marriott Member. First time in Crete. This hotel is nice and homely. Generally, all the staff we interacted in the hotel are well trained, welcoming and they know how to operate in an Hospitality business. All cheerful staff and always ready to assist guests. I was upgraded to a superior king size sea view room with balcony. Nadia did wonderful, she organized a birthday surprise treat for my wife during our stay and always recommended to do things for us during our stay. The hotel itself is clean. Housekeeping is super. Breakfast menu is good, fresh with varieties. In summary we got value for our money. Will recommend this hotel and we plan to comeback"

"First time visiting Crete and spent a lovely week at Alai Hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and as if nothing was too much trouble. In fact the staff made the holiday, they were all so friendly but not intrusive. Nadja was so helpful and always stopped for chat and Maya was a little ray of sunshine, I wish I could name them all. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, breakfast was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable, we have never slept so well. The hotel was in great position in the centre of Stalis with lots of great restaurants, bars and shops on its doorstep. You even have access straight on to the beach. Would definitley recommend this hotel and will hopfully return"
