Village-like hotel right on the beach
The Aegean Melatron Thalasso Spa is a charming, village-like hotel in the picturesque Kallithia region. It’s classically Mediterranean in style, with pastel-coloured blocks and terracotta-rooftops scattered among tropical gardens. There’s a path nestled among the greenery which leads to a picture-perfect sandy beach, and views of the Aegean Sea are par-for-the-course.
You'll find a total of nine outdoor pools dotted throughout the complex, including several shallow areas for children, as well as a couple of indoor, adults-only pools. While little ones are well looked-after at the mini club (ages 4-12), why not treat yourself to a soothing massage or beauty treatment at the spa?
Four restaurants tempt taste-buds at mealtimes. There are two buffet eateries here, featuring international cuisine and regular themed nights showcasing the likes of Italian, Spanish and Mexican fare. You’ve also got Mistral, an elegant a la carte spot just metres from the beach. Along with stellar views it’s got a lovely Mediterranean menu, with a list of fine local wines to accompany it. Rounding things off is a self-service snack restaurant for pizza, sandwiches and cakes. A whopping six bars means cocktails, cold drinks and ice creams are never far away, either. You’ll find several poolside ones, some of which host live music in the evenings, and another directly on the beach.
