Adams Hotel

"This is a lovely hotel, beautifully kept gardens and grounds. Staff are friendly enough. The rooms are very nice, spacious, well equipped and a nice bathroom. Our allocated room was at the end of a corridor on ground floor close to the cleaners equipment room so at 8am when they congregated we could hear them chatting. Somewhat annoying. Breakfast was good, cereal, toast, fruits, yoghurt, cooked section always had fried eggs, would have been nice if they mixed it up: scrambled eggs etc. cakes were lovely and the staff we’re constantly checking the supplies and topping up. Coffee machine was decent coffee. Pool looked decent if a little cramped with sun beds but we never used the pool as we prefer the beach. The main issue we had was its location just a tad too far out of town, the walk back on an evening having done it during day was very hilly and just too far so we walked in the day but on an evening we would get a taxi back to the hotel from town. There is a short cut back road to cut out the sharp bends of the main road wouldn’t call it a pleasant walk but it was just a bit too far!"

"Firstly, some good things about the Adams Hotel: The staff are friendly Rooms, pool and public areas kept spotlessly clean Small but well equipped gym with well maintained kit Now, the not so good: The pool and it's surrounding area is too small for the size of the hotel. You will struggle to find a sunbed after 9a.m. Eggs, beans, tea and coffee at breakfast are lukewarm at best, often completely cold. A particular issue for us: We requested, via TUI, a high floor room. We were given a ground floor room and when we questioned this at reception were told there were no higher rooms available. We raised it with the TUI rep the next day and she undertook to ask reception to put us on reserve for a higher room (in 2 days time) when other guests had checked out. The hotel never got back to us, which shows a lack of care and ownership of the issue. The ground floor room we got was particularly bad for us. It was at the entrance to our block and our patio was overlooked by balconies opposite. We were disturbed at night by noisy guests chatting in our foyer area outside of our door, and were disturbed in the morning by the cleaners visiting the laundry store opposite and 6 feet from our door. During the night a nearby industrial scale air conditioning unit often kicked into life in a noisy way. Our room, particularly the bathroom was in need of refurbishment. We were in formed by the TUI rep that lots of people request high floor rooms, so that could be why we didn't get one. I queried if everyone on the two floors above ground, in every block, could have requested a high room and was told that this was very possible. Hmmmmm!!??? Suffice to say, we won't be staying here again."

"The hotel is okay but it’s such a long boring walk into Parga and even harder coming back as it’s uphill. Breakfasts are a bit boring."
