Atlantica Aegean Blue

"We had a really lovely week-long stay at the Atlantica in June 26. As a couple with a young toddler, the facilities and all-inclusive nature of the hotel meant that everything we needed was within the hotel resort itself. The room was spacious and clean with good amenities. The cot bed was great - not a travel one like in most places but an actual proper cot. The pool facilities were also excellent - main swimming pool was great and the smaller child-friendly pool offered enough variety to keep our toddler entertained. Never had an issue getting a sun bed though appreciate this might be different in peak school holidays. The food was also very good. Bear in mind its mass-catering, there was always plenty of choice and the vast majority was really delicious - the salads and fresh fruit were top notch. A note for the hotel service too - we had two small issues with our room - the shower head wouldn’t stay affixed when turned on and our safe battery died. Both were resolved by maintenance within 20 minutes of alerting reception. The evening entertainment was mostly fine - a bit of fun. I’ve seen some reviews be critical of the acts, but I think people just need to better manage their expectations. This is a hotel, not a cruise ship. There isn’t much in the area outside of the hotel, and a top tip would be to use a taxi service to the hotel from the airport for a much quicker transit than the TUI coaches. Two things for the hotel to look at: 1. The tiles around the pirate ship pool were very slippy and should be replaced asap. Our toddler fell and grazed her knees several times. 2. The room door handle was the right height for small exploring hands with no internal way of locking the door to stop our toddler opening it. Perhaps adding a second, higher lock on the door would resolve this. We would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to returning with our older children in the future."

"This hotel is incredible – so much so that we got home and immediately rebooked for next year, this time bringing the grandparents along too! We have two young children, and the facilities are fantastic for families. The water park is suitable for all ages, and the hotel grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space and grass areas for the kids to play and relax. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed, including a bath for the children, which made evenings much easier. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning mountain and sea views. We also had a swim-up room, and honestly, we couldn’t fault it. The food was excellent throughout our stay. The snack bar was particularly impressive and so well stocked that we often didn’t feel the need to visit the main restaurant at lunchtime because it had everything we needed. If I had to mention any negatives, it would be that there isn’t much to do outside the hotel. However, the Old Town isn’t too far away from what we’re aware of. That said, we never felt the need to leave the resort as there was so much to enjoy on site. Another children’s pool might be a good addition, as I can imagine the existing pools become very busy during the peak summer months. We’re hoping it won’t be too crowded when we return next April! Overall, this was one of the best family holidays we’ve had, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year."
