Athina Luxury Suites

"We had a fabulous time staying in Santorini at Athina Luxury Suites. The service was top notch including the breakfast delivered to our room each morning. The bed was so comfortable, a softer but supportive memory foam mattress. We had a room with a jacuzzi but did not end up using it as the temperature was lukewarm, which they said is the typical temperature (not hot). We had been planning a special birthday dinner to Esperisma but changed it to Rizes, as that place is just around the corner with food and ambiance out of this world. The Athina staff made our reservations and we got excellent tables. There were a lot of stairs but the porters helped us with our luggage so it was not that bad, good exercise."

"First of I want to mention that I write very few reviews and only when it was extraordinarily good. In this case it is different! This is only for hotel Mgmt and not staff who do great work and are super friendly. + Directly in the middle of Thira + Great view + Heated pool with pool bar + Nice breakfast We booked as a special offer on booking.com 1 Cozy suite with indoor hot tub which seems it was the broom closet of the hotel. If the hotel Mgmt ever has experienced the room they would never offer. It was not possible to take a relaxing rest or sleep during the night & early morning (or you must be deadly tires) because of following topics: - Loud Pump or vent hided in a sideboard in the hallway right before our room - Skylights where the light of the hallway was shining through during the night. It was not able to close them. - Air conditioning display was shining like daylight in the night - no possibility to turn it off. - Loud humming fridge in the room - Hot tub which was not a hot tub (2nd time in greece a tub was sold as a hot tub). - Hot tub couldn't be heated in accordance to the seize of the room without having high humidity within the room - having everything clam - Staff using the hallway from 8am in the morning to get to the laundry and machinery room. - staff waling in and out from 7am, staff arguing For sure nothing of that was mentioned in the room description. The worst thing about this was that the Hotel Mgmt was unsupportive and unwilling to help or offer any kind of alternative or extras or reduction. They were only having excuses like we are fully booked, this is what you booked and therefore you have the nice view. That's completely ridiculous and pure nonsense and a total pitty because if you can't relax and only having discussions about the situation the nice view and a heated pool can't compensate at all and I feel sorry for the staff especially the suitcase carrier, barman, breakfast team and cleaners who do a great job and are super friendly. So the Hotel has a lot to learn how to deal with complains and customers! If I would have know the physical circumstances of the room which wasn't described in any way I would have never booked the room and the hotel! Please do not book this room (number 26 & 27) ! From me absolutely no recommendation because it felt like been ripped off - the room was not even worth half the price! Claim opened via booking.com to get as much refund as possible."
