"Location and views are spectacular! Rooms were clean and varied uniquely but seemed to all have amazing views. Despite having elevators there is still an ample amount of steeper steps to climb (like most of Santorini)- so be prepared. Hotel breakfast had generous options and all dining staff, bartenders, and porters were exceptional and incredibly friendly. We were all sad to say goodbye to them. The downside of the hotel was the entire check-in , check-out process including reception staff and manager. We were part of a large celebration party. By the end of the trip, each individual in the party, had separate and unique frustrating experiences with them (eg unsolicited room swaps intra-stay to a different hotel, abandoning guests at check in, expecting your luggage to be delivered / taken from your room when it wasn’t). They essentially admitted they dictate policy not by their words to individuals but around how all tourists act as a whole (opposite mindset of hospitality). As nice as everything was, for this experience alone everyone agreed they would go elsewhere next time."

"Although I stayed at the sister hotel next door, I luckily managed to get bookings for a treatment with Ioannis, each day or evening of my stay, at the Gold Spa, and after my first treatment with him, was happy to let him work his magic with his wealth of experience and multi-faceted holistic approach and intuition for the rest of my stay… and the facial I received on my final morning before departing was the best ever…. I left feeling totally rejuvenated and revived."
