"This trip was booked as a surprise for my 40th by my partner, and WOW — it genuinely exceeded every expectation. Danae Suites is absolutely incredible. We stayed in a private villa, and the sunset views each evening were breathtaking — though to be honest, you can enjoy them from almost anywhere in the hotel. Everything about this place was stunning. One negative and not from Danae but our travel company omitted transfer details so we were actually picked up from a different location rather than the suites itself due to the narrow entrance (So be mindful of this, although a taxi could have been booked for around 20Euros to get us to the airport). The location was ideal. It’s about a 7‑minute uphill walk to Krinaki Restaurant, a mini‑market we used daily for water and bits. From there, it’s a straightforward 10-15‑minute walk into Oia. We also had the most stunning sunset dinner at Finikia Restaurant, just a 14‑minute walk from the suites — highly recommended, and surprisingly not overpriced. Breakfast at Danae Suites was freshly cooked each morning, and the staff were amazing — so friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They really made the stay feel special. We hired a car and explored the island too, which was such a wonderful experience and gave us the chance to see even more of what Santorini has to offer. Overall, an unforgettable stay and the perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday."
