"We stayed at GS Hotel and had a lovely time. There were 9 of us all arriving at different times. Food was lovely, good variety. Drinks okay, quite limited for an AI. Kettle in room but no coffee or tea, again quite limited for an AI. Pool lovely. Good music. Pool bar always fully stocked Staff so pleasant. Always happy and welcoming. Used spa for massages - top notch. Sooooo good. Used spa pool too. Lovely and peaceful and worth the fee for the beds. Would come again. Def recommend."

"Our first stay at the Golden Sun hotel at the end of May and we were very impressed. The location is excellent with both the local beach and the strip of shops / bars / restaurants being within easy walk. Also easy access via the land train or local bus to Zante town . Kalamaki resort is very family friendly, and feels very comfortable to walk around both day and night. Zante town also has a lot of character and feels very clean and friendly to visit. We did walk to Laganas which is the resort along the beach, but I would say this is more for drinkers /clubbers. The hotel itself is quite small, we had no trouble at all getting sun beds, and a lot of time the swimming pool was empty. Mind you the water a little chilly or should I say refreshing! The room was comfortable and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden, housekeeping did a great job daily of cleaning. Air con very efficient too. One of the best things about our holiday was the quality of food, in particular the evening meals. Every evening there was a beautiful fresh roast and a wide range of other choices. We quite expected to be eating out, but in fact chose to eat in the restaurant as the food was so lovely. The staff were lovely and very efficient. In terms of entertainment, there were only two evenings when we had local vocalists. Potentially they might offer more in the main holidays. Just a little disappointed with the selection of cocktails in the all inclusive package. Any "upgraded" cocktails were €10 each. Also be aware that drinks after 11pm were chargeable. Overall a very enjoyable break."

"Another great stay at the Golden sun hotel, this was our 5th stay during the end of May half term week, you do see a lot of familiar guests faces every year which says a lot about the quality of the hotel, all the staff you encounter are very friendly from the moment you arrive and your cases are taken to your room to check out, There were a number of wedding parties staying during our stay so the hotel was busy but we always had access to a couple of sun beds and a parasol and there were always some spare beds, definitely no need to get up early to secure a spot by the pool The food and drink options were good as always although slightly disappointed that the breakfast omelette station was gone this year, We always eat in for breakfast and lunch but usually go out to eat in the evening to one of the many dining options on the strip, the couple of nights that we stayed in were when the entertainment was on John and his assistant at the bar work so hard to keep everyone’s glasses full and there are never long queues, Thank you very much for another great holiday and see you again in 2027"
