"The location of this hotel is perfect, however unless you want to be woken up between 5-6am, DO NOT stay here. Whether it’s the bin men at 5am, the shops across the way opening their shutters and dragging stuff around at 6am, or the same guy every morning dragging delivery crates up and down the street. It’s near on impossible to sleep from 5am onwards. Also, house keeping service isn’t good. Apart from emptying the bin they don’t do anything else. Have to ask for clean towels and no beds were made. Breakfast ok but a bit cold! Would NEVER stay here again which is a shame."

"Important to note that currently the hotel is undergoing renovation works so there is often construction workers and it is in essence a construction site. This meant some mornings there was construction noises happening. The renovation itself is an improvement- slightly more modern and in keeping with the times. The room was comfortable and nicely renovated and the beds were comfortable enough. I had noted a previous review sighting that room 112 had no window covering on one of the windows. Lo and behold, that’s where we were put. We brought this to the attention of the staff - some were completely unaware and shocked that this was the case. One woman said she was aware but that there was nothing they can do. She reassured us that it shouldn’t be a problem as we are not in anyone’s eye line and the sun doesn’t come up in February. Oh how wrong she was. See the picture attached of the glowing street lamp right opposite the room that let light in all night. Not to mention - the sun definitely came up every morning and ensured I was awake bright and early even if the street lamp had kept me awake all night. As you can expect, this really affected me and impacted my stay. I haven’t even divulged into the lack of security and privacy this uncovered window offered me (the room looks out onto the street outside an Irish bar). We can’t comment on the breakfast as we are vegetarian/vegan and didn’t feel it was worth trying. The staff are nice and friendly though."
