"Great hotel in the city center"

"I am guilty of over-researching for every trip to ensure the best fit for our family and this trip was certainly no exception; in my extensive researching and sifting through zillions of hotels, I stumbled upon the Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel and am so fortunate that I did. Traveling as a solo parent with my three young children, I need everything at once at my fingertips to make this trip convenient, enjoyable and manageable for myself and the family, and this hotel certainly delivered. For context, we are a well-traveled family, and we are also discerning travelers. My aim in giving this review is to give an honest (but glowing because it is well deserved) review of the hotel, as well as information for other parents who might need to know specifics about family-oriented conveniences. My impressions of the hotel are that it is impeccably clean, it is centrally located (I could not have chosen a better location – you can LITERALLY walk everywhere including the big supermarket), the reception was kind and accommodating. The most helpful amenities for us were the dishwasher, the (shared) washers/dryers, the stovetop with 2 burners and all the pots/pans/utensils that we needed. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had a bed, a separate bedroom, and a pull out sofa bed, with ample space for all of us to spread out and relax after a busy day of exploring. We also opted for the breakfast option which I felt was essential, and we had loads of varieites of juices, fresh fruits, fresh breads/cheeses, milk, eggs. After spending nearly a week here, I can recommend it wholeheartedly and have no desire to look elsewhere for accommodations upon my (hopefully soon!) upcoming return to Iceland. Thank you!"
