Grand Hotel Vesuvio

"The hotel has pleasant bedrooms, comfortable beds, an excellent restaurant and a good hotel pool. There is a frequent hotel coach in to town which is a great help and convenience. Although it is not a long way, the roads are not suitable for pedestrians. There is a high standard of cleanliness in the hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. We were on a package holding which was good value and comparable to our usual Spanish destinations."

"Stayed at this hotel in late May and found it to be excellent value for money. We had a balcony room looking over the front of the hotel with spectacular views. The hotel was spotlessly clean and maid service was excellent. The best thing about this hotel was the restaurant and especially the attention from the Head Waiter Jack who was just amazing. The food on the menu changed every night and they had a good selection of wines at reasonable prices. The restaurant was waiter service on 5 days with a buffet on a Thursday and barbecue on a Sunday. The shuttle bus which took you down the 5 minute ride into town was always on time. I previously stayed in town and the price of the hotel was double and would honestly say that The Grand Vesuvios is excellent value. "The location was peaceful, amazing scenery, with a wonderful view of Mount Vesuvius. The hotel had a shuttle bus at regular intervals to take you to and back from Sorrento town. The rooms were clean and our balcony overlooked Lemon trees as well as woodland. We were on half board, the service and food was exceptional, with a change of menu every evening. A special credit to the staff who were attentive and respectful, so important."
