They offer valet parking and cope with ZTL regulations as well which may be interesting and important for those who travel by car."

"Hotel Roma is in an absolutely fantastic location right in the heart of Florence, directly overlooking Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. The views from the room were beautiful and it really felt like you were immersed in the centre of the city. The hotel itself feels elegant and glamorous, especially the foyer area, while still being comfortable and relaxed. The staff were lovely and professional without being intrusive. The room was huge, with very high ceilings that made it feel spacious and airy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, there was a bar fridge, and the automatic shutters made the room incredibly dark and quiet for sleeping, which I loved. The bathroom was also large and beautifully set up, with both a bath and separate shower, plenty of storage space, and a bidet. The breakfast area was another standout feature. It was beautiful and offered a generous continental breakfast with everything from pastries, cakes, fruit, cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, and more. There were only a few things worth being aware of depending on your preferences. The shower water pressure was low to medium, and while the water stayed consistently warm, it never became truly hot. If you enjoy very hot showers or baths, this is something to know beforehand. The bath itself was large, but the water temperature was not hot enough to comfortably fill and enjoy a proper hot bath. The TV was also quite small, positioned far from the bed, and not a smart TV. Everything was in Italian, so for international travellers it was essentially unusable. The air conditioner worked well enough, but it was extremely loud — almost like having a clothes dryer running in the room — so light sleepers who like sleeping with air conditioning on may find that frustrating. Overall though, the location, room size, beautiful breakfast, elegant atmosphere, and comfort of the hotel made it a very enjoyable stay."
