All'Angelo Art Hotel

"I stayed at the All’Angelo Art Hotel during a short solo trip to Venice and for location it really is hard to beat. The hotel is perfectly placed just a few minutes’ walk from St Mark’s Square, which made sightseeing incredibly easy. I was able to walk comfortably to the main attractions including the Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and through all the beautiful little streets that make Venice so special. It was also convenient for public transport, including the water bus connections, which made arriving and leaving Venice simple The hotel itself is what I would describe as a typical Venice city hotel. Simple and traditional rather than luxury, but it served its purpose. My single room was very small, however I expected this and mainly used it as somewhere to sleep and freshen up after a full day exploring. The room included a fridge and safe which were useful additions. The only thing I missed was having tea and coffee making facilities in the room, especially for an early morning start. If you are visiting Venice to explore and want somewhere central, convenient and full of character rather than spending lots of time in your room, this hotel is a great spot."

"This was my second stay at Hotel All’Angelo, and I was very happy to return. I had a very nice room, and the location is perfect for me. It is easy to walk to San Marco, San Polo, and Cannaregio, and the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop is nearby, which makes it convenient to reach the other sestieri. The hotel also has its own dock, which is a big advantage if you are taking a water taxi to or from Marco Polo Airport. The trip by water taxi takes only about 30 minutes. There are many restaurants nearby, especially around and north of Campo Santi Filippo e Giacomo, less than five minutes from the hotel. Breakfast offers an excellent variety of choices, and for late sleepers it is good to know that it is served until 10:30 AM. Housekeeping was very good, and the concierges at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. I have stayed in five different places in Venice, and this is my favorite. I hope to return again."

"A great choice if you want a comfortable and centrally located vacation in Venice. There’s a dock right at the hotel. It’s clean, and the amenities leave nothing to be missing (single room). I travel a lot, but that was the best pillow I’ve ever slept on. The staff are always friendly and attentive. They made sure I got information about that pillow right away. The breakfast is also very extensive. To be honest, I don’t understand the occasionally negative reviews at all. If that’s the case, those people should go into more detail about exactly what was missing. There was a plentiful selection of bread, buns, and toast, coffee options, juices, egg dishes, bacon, sausage, cheese, fruit, jam, yogurt, and so on. Plenty of nicely arranged seating, on several levels, and outside when the weather is nice. Just a 3-minute walk to St. Mark’s Square. They took care of booking the water taxis. A great stay. In short: Tutto fantastico"
