"I don’t normally leave reviews but I am only leaving this to recommend our house keeper ‘Asan’ we were in room 638 and Asan went above and beyond to make sure our room was perfect and spotlessly clean. He takes pride in his job and this shows, everyday we came back to our room we had a fantastic towel creation. From swans, to a baby to a lady and even an alligator 🐊 this really made our honeymoon special"

"The hotel is in a great location with so much nearby and easy access to the rest of the island and the fast ferry to Gozo (which was great!) The hotel itself is very well presented and clean when you walk in and in all the common areas. When we checked in we had a few issues with our room but these were quickly addressed and we were upgraded without asking to a wonderful room. The staff are all very friendly and hard working, there was never a time you werent able to speak with someone if you needed to. The pools were all clean and although can get busy we were always able to find sunbeds even in the shade. The food was really great and again all the areas were very clean and serviced constantly by staff. All the specialty restaurants were enjoyable and made a change to eat at. The sunday lunch was a highlight although can be very busy as people from outside the hotel can buy a ticket to this event. Only gripe is that the hallways to the rooms are all carpetted and it is clearly needing a deep clean or a replacement as they were smelly. Otherwise there were reverse osmosis water stations on every floor which was really handy, the rooms were clean, could improve with more storage for clothing but this doesnt cause much of an issue. The lift system I read people complaining about was no issue at all. And the tokens for the cups from the pool bars were no issue either and made sense. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was great value, would recommend it, and would visit again 😀"

"Pros Staff were lovely,constantly working hard and pleasant to guests. Would particularly like to recommend Douadh who looked after our room. He really took care of us so well. The Asian restaurant on floor 10 was amazing. The food was excellent but the setting was exceptional with wonderful sea views. The room was pleasant and the balcony was spacious with a nice sea view (if you ignored the noise coming from the three pools.) Cons The main restaurant was more akin to a large works canteen. It sat 750 people and provided little in the way of a dining experience. At a four star hotel you expect the food to be of a high level but this was certainly not. It was presented in a canteen way. For example there was an omelette station a thing which is very common but here they cooked six at a time piling them onto large dishes to get cold. The porridge was not hot on a single day. I must make it clear that my husband and I chose badly when we chose this hotel. It was not as we imagined it to be. We knew that it was big but had not appreciated the children running around the pool shouting without supervision. We did not realise that the sunbeds were so close together that there was not enough room to get on unless you used the end. We asked for a quiet room and were so pleased to be told that we had been given one. The reception staff were just so helpful. Unfortunately we were treated to loud music until eleven o clock every night from the Nine Lives Beach Club. It seemed as if we had taken a wrong turning and ended up on Ibiza. I do believe that Jet 2 has made a mistake in classifying this as a four star hotel. The quality was much more like a three star hotel."
