Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial

"I tried the breakfast in the hotel which I found to be of excellent quality... excellent choice of sweet and savory dishes... but I was impressed by the excellent quality of the sweet croissants, filled with lemon, strawberry, apple and coconut.…You can feels that are made with love …nothing to envy to those of the best pastry shops in Paris. I had the pleasure of meeting the ladies Ikram, Farah, Miriama nouhaila chahira, very kind, who love their work and transmit all this to the customers, who really feel at home... Excellent"

"I booked a 3-night stay at Sofitel Marrakech in a premium room with pool view, balcony and king-size bed. I arrived in the morning and was told check-in was at 3pm. However, at 3pm the room was not ready. The front desk kept saying “in 30 minutes” — first at 3pm, then again at 3:30pm, and again at 4pm. I asked for a solution and requested to speak with the hotel manager, Mr. Ahmed Benkirane, but he refused to speak to me. I only got access to my room close to 6pm, almost three hours after the official check-in time. When I finally entered the room, it had two single beds instead of the king-size bed I had reserved and explicitly reconfirmed before check-in. There was also a welcome card addressed to another guest. No proper apology was given and nothing was offered to compensate for the very late check-in — not even a drink. There were other issues as well. The indoor restaurant with air conditioning was closed for lunch, meaning guests had to eat outdoors in 38°C heat or not eat at all. The hotel also plays loud music in the outdoor restaurant areas at night, making it very difficult to sleep before midnight. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for a supposedly luxury hotel. I would not recommend staying here."
