Palace Africa is a boutique guesthouse with all the perks of a rural retreat, while still being just 20 minutes’ drive from the Medina.
When you’re perched on a poolside sun lounger enjoying a cocktail from the bar, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were miles away from the bustling city. From the towering trees that give the gardens a lovely, sheltered feel to the vines that climb up the dusky red walls of the house, the setting feels picture-perfect.
Split your time however you please – lounging around with a good book, working up a sweat in the small gym area, or exploring all that the Palmeraie – and further afield – has to offer. The in-house restaurant is all about local flavours, and if you fancy trying your hand at a bit of authentic Moroccan cooking, you can even book onto a workshop at the cookery school. From shopping at the local market for ingredients to learning about the different spices, and of course, getting to feast on the spoils, it’s an experience that’s not to be missed.
