Railway-themed hotel in central Amsterdam
Set within a classic red-brick Dutch townhouse just a few steps away from Amsterdam Central Station, there’s a strong railway theme running throughout this cosy city centre hotel.
It’s in an ideal spot for sightseeing, just a five-minute stroll from the charming canal district and 10 minutes from Dam Square, home to the Royal Palace, the National Monument and the 15th-century Gothic-style New Church.
With the metro station just around the corner, you can easily get from one side of the city centre to another with a minimum of fuss – it only takes 10-15 minutes to get from the hotel to the Museum Quarter, where you’ll find the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum among several others. Of course, there’s always the option of renting bikes and travelling around on two wheels as so many of the locals do.
A continental buffet breakfast is served in the mornings at the Pullman Lounge, where you can also relax and enjoy free tea and coffee whenever you’re not out and about exploring – expect lots of train-related paraphernalia here.
