Swissotel Amsterdam

"Front of house are really lovely and friendly and the hotel is perfectly located in Damn Square however that’s all this hotel has going for it. On check in we were give our room on the 3rd to open the door and find a pigeon greeting us. We then went back down to reception who found it hilarious and then checked us into another room which was quite possibly the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. It was so dark, the cleaners kept leaving the light on. Probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the fact we didn’t even get any apologise for the pigeon or a complimentary upgrade."

"Great location and a quality hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Fast check-in and an appreciated room upgrade. As others have said, a very quiet room given the location. The only negative to report is that the cooked food at breakfast was stone cold on both mornings, which was concerning from a food hygiene perspective. The hot plates used were either not on or too low temperature to keep the food warm. I wouls stay again but would grab breakfast from somewhere else."
