Hotel Golden Queen

"Lovely hotel. We had a room at the front, but there was absolutely no noise from the street whatsoever. It’s in a very quiet, secluded street, but just a short walk for all the hustle and bustle. The room itself was very well laid out with everything you could possibly need. Very high-tech, with everything operated from a touchscreen panel. The air-conditioning/heating was really good and very quiet. The beds were nice and comfortable and the room nice and clean. There was a kettle, with tea and packet coffee. Nice toiletries in the shower. There was also an ironing board in the room, and a small fridge. There’s a wonderful sauna, which wasn’t very well advertised, but a real treat. One thing I really liked was the filtered water machine in the lobby, allowing you to top up your bottle with chilled, sparkling and even hot water if you’re so desired. I would definitely stay here again."

"No other words than Wow. From the minute you walk in, the smell that greets you oozes class. We had booked a suite on floor 4(really good price) and it was phenomenal. A hot tub in the bedroom…a separate bedroom from a massive living room and kitchen, 2 toilets and a shower. The staff couldn’t do enough, organised us a lunch box for the trip to Auschwitz at a reasonable price of approximately £10 each. The location of this hotel tops it all though, 5 minutes from the Castle, 10-15 mins walk to the main square and approximately 20 mins max walk to the Jewish quarter….all flat by the way. So you’re close enough to everything but it’s nice and quiet. When we return to Krakow we won’t hesitate to come back here."

"Excellent value for money. The location is very central. We explored everything on foot. The room was spacious and was cleaned early every morning. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and you could order some egg dishes made to order. It was a great stay and we can highly recommend the hotel."
