Alfagar Alto da Colina

"1st time trying this hotel. Fantastic complex with very clean, spacious rooms & plenty of facilities. The choice of pools is excellent with water slides & splash park included. Have access to the facilities at Alfagar Prestige and Alfagar Village is a real bonus. The poolside entertainment is brilliant — Leo does a great job keeping everyone involved with water polo, poolside bingo, and a range of fun activities throughout the day. The chance to win a free drink makes it even more enjoyable & competitive. Highly recommend :-). New town and old town are a 5/10 mins Uber drive away so location is perfect. Will definitely be back next year!"

"We visited here from the 19th-26th May 2026. Stayed in a superior one bedroom apartment with seaview. The apartment was clean and spacious, fit 2 adults, 8yr old and 1yr old. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The pools were very cold, bit too cold for us. We did however enjoy the covered pool at the other Alfagar hotel and it was warm enough for us. I think if we were to come back we would come back later in the year when it's a bit warmer, that way the cold pools wouldn't matter. We went half board and found breakfast to be amazing, the evening meal could be hit or miss, however the desserts were always fantastic, the dessert chef needs a raise cause wow! €2.30 for a bottle of 0.7l water at dinner is a rip off though, bring your own water bottle to save on that. We got a uber eats a couple of nights and I think if we came back breakfast would do rightly, there is mini market on site which has all you need and near by there is a spar too. Can't comment on the alcohol as we don't drink."

"Location is great, 10min Uber drive to Old Town, but to be honest you dont even need to leave the resort as you can find everything you need within the resorts, they have small shops, cafeteria, bar, you name it. Atmosphere is amazing, very family friendly all round. Rooms are spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 2, the balcony is great. Great value all round. The hotel/resort is very clean throughout. There was minimal to no noise interference throughout my 2 week stay. We have been to Portugal 5x times but was our first time in Alfagar Alto da Colina and we can't wait to go back next year. If I could live in a hotel/resort this would be the one."
