Pestana Alvor Atlantico Beach Aparthotel

"Went here May 18th 4 nights. If your not one to have time in your room to cook or make tea as no kettle. Just old coffee machine. Has no pool outside one inside but closed. We use a lovely hotel 4 min walk away was beautiful. Pool sunbeds great. Lovely surroundings. Gate entrance to beach. I would stay in that hotel as had beautiful looking rooms. If your planning a holiday apartment take a kettle. 2 ring hob to cook on. Very cold fridge. Bathroom definitely needs attention. Nothing to put your soaps ect in. Just sink. Shower difficult to work but got it working in the end. Just thank you for the use of sister hotel. Breakfast €18 each. Tried once. Stuck with toasty from other hotel. They have a machine to buy sweets drinks on reception. So its fine to get ready and sleep at night. No English tv channels. Just tried to find music channel bit of music while getting ready. Staff were so nice. But wouldn't return as like some luxury. ( Also walls are very thin 😉)"

"I had some reservations after reading a few of the reviews, but we found the hotel to be excellent in every respect. While the décor is a little dated in places, the rooms were immaculately clean, well furnished, and complemented by spotless bathrooms. They were also great value. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff. They were consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful — the kind of service that clearly comes from experienced, well-trained people rather than temporary or indifferent staffing. Even small requests, such as finding a wine bottle opener in the evening, were handled promptly and without fuss. The surrounding area is understandably quiet in winter, but anyone looking for the familiar tourist offering of pubs and restaurants serving food and drink will still find plenty to enjoy. Those willing to venture a little further will be rewarded with excellent local cuisine and more off-the-beaten-path experiences. The real jewel here, however, is the coastline. The nearby beach, caves, and rocky coves are spectacular. Even in January, we were able to sit out in the sun most days, relax in sheltered coves, sunbathe, or simply enjoy long walks along the cliffs."
