A rustic Algarve hideaway
Set near Burgau, Casa Rosa Montes is a softer, slower way to do the Algarve. You’re well placed for the western coast’s beaches, cliff walks and whitewashed villages, with Lagos close enough for marina strolls, old-town evenings and boat trips to the grottoes at Ponta da Piedade.
Back at the hotel, the feel is small, simple and peaceful. This is more relaxed rural retreat than full-throttle resort, so expect easy-going days, sunny outdoor spaces and a good base for exploring by car. Burgau, Praia da Luz and Lagos all bring different flavours of coastal life nearby.
Breakfast is usually the easy start here, with plenty of local dining options close by when lunch or dinner calls. Head into Burgau for seafood, grilled fish and village restaurants, or into Lagos for tapas, wine bars and harbour-side suppers. Quiet base, big coastline, no need to rush – the west Algarve does slow beautifully.
