"We have just returned from a week's stay at the PortoBay Liberdade, Lisbon. Good points : service throughout our stay second to none, a la carte and seasonal menus in restaurant were excellent, as were all the fish dishes and desserts. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful. However our junior suite was not satisfactory. The beds were not made up as twins, there were 3 doors to the bathroom - 2 of them sliding wooden ones which were bowed and therefore rickety and rattling and the bathroom toiletries were in fiddly little bottles. Wardrobe hanging space was too short. However the hotel found us a much nicer superior room - with a large private sun terrace to boot ! Still a sliding door to bathroom, which had to be left open at night because of the noise it made - not very civilised. The sun terrace was a real boon, after a hard day's sightseeing. Room very quiet too. Suggest hotel changes all it's sliding doors for proper ones. They are not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel."
