"The Convent Square Hotel in Lisbon exceeded our expectations for our first visit to the city. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with many highlights within easy walking distance. Don’t miss St. Dominic’s church right next door to the hotel-incredible! The hotel is thoughtfully designed around historic architectural features, and we loved our quiet room in the middle of the city. Special recognition to David, Rueben, and Anna who provided excellent care during our stay and helped my husband find the best peri-peri chicken restaurants. This hotel is part of the IHG hotel Vignette Collection, and it represents a 5-star property for the brand in our opinion. We’ll be back!"

"Had a good stay at the Convent Square Lisbon, Vignette Collection. A hotel very rich history, which I already explained in my previous review of this hotel. I got upgraded to a premium room with cloister view, but basically that’s every room that overlooks the inner courtyard of the hotel. By playing the OneRewarda point game smart, I stacked two promos (x2 and x3 bonus points) and managed to tack up more than 50k in points! My storage space/room closet was not practical. I could not hang my shirts there, let alone a suit. So I had to remove all he coat hangers in the corridor of my room. My ‘desk’ was also not practical, as it was just a very small table with a chair. Making this room not they practical to sit in or stay with two people. On solo business travel, it already felt cramped. Resending tis hotel not that suitable to the business traveller. My experience with desks in other rooms are hit or miss. Sometimes you get a large desk, but with a poof. That’s highly uncomfortable to sit on. What does set this hotel apart, is the staff. Who still recognised me. While my last stay here was close to a year ago. While its location is key for exploring all the sights of the Lisbon city centre, I would not recommend it for families with (young) children. The nearby Holiday Inn off Avenida Liberdad offers more value and space for money. Breakfast was okay. But I don’t like the fact that cappuccino is being served with chocolate powder in it. So get my coffee hit in cafes nearby. On my last day, I was sitting with a colleague on the terrace outside. It took an hour for staff to notice and approach to the air an order. Earlier that day, I wanted a club sandwich for lunch. I had to approach the staff to get served, so here is a clear area for improvement. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and managed to combine it with some brisk morning walks. Lisbon is built on seven hills, something you will immediately notice."
