"As a Food, Beverage, and Hospitality professional with extensive credentials and 25 years of experience, I will provide an honest review of this establishment. **Location:** The hotel is situated somewhat distant from the main attractions. I rented a car and, on average, it took me 35 minutes to reach the central attractions due to traffic congestion. The beach (Barceloneta) was approximately 45 minutes away. **Rooms and Amenities:** The rooms are clean, and the overall hotel is well-maintained. The pool area, lobby, and other amenities are in good condition. However, the air conditioning in my room was inadequate, not as cold as desired. This is a personal preference. **Customer Service:** Customer service is a critical aspect of this industry, and at this specific location, it was exceptionally poor. I was deeply disappointed. The hotel staff did not create a welcoming atmosphere. They were overly formal and made guests feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and even apprehensive about asking questions. The way they responded to my inquiries made me feel like I was asking a foolish question. One of the most concerning issues was the lack of assistance during a medical emergency. As a diabetic, my blood sugar levels can drop dangerously low. One morning, I was experiencing a severe low glucose level and asked the front desk representative if she could ask another employee if they could get me something sweet, like a juice from the bar area. I understand it was early in the morning, but this was a medical emergency. Hypoglycemia is dangerous, and the representative refused to help. She told me to walk down to the gas station, which was close, but every step I took with a blood sugar level of 51 became dangerous. She did not offer any assistance at all. I had to repeatedly ask until she finally got me two apples, but she never showed any genuine concern. This is not how we treat these scenarios in the United States. We are trained to address medical emergencies with the utmost seriousness and try to provide as much assistance as possible. It is also legally liability to deny help to a guest during a medical crisis. This is just one of the many instances where I witnessed the rude, unfriendly, and careless behavior of the staff members at this location. Customer service is by far disappointing."

"Reasonably priced, but location and service lets it down. Ok so this is a cheap Barcelona option. But beware because transit to the city centre can take an hour on public transit as the tram is so slow. hotel wise it’s clean and pleasant. Bar service was haphazard at best despite the best efforts of Josep the only friendly bar waiter. The others are too overworked on restaurant (microwave meals only) and generally ignore the bar crowd. Breakfast is massively overpriced and can be bought at a fraction of the cost at a local cafe The Cups. Not the best experience."

"Don't belive the bad reviews. The hotel it spotlessly clean. The staff are are all lovely. We've had a lovely time here. Its €17 to Barcelona in an uber. You can also walk into the town centre t takes you 20 mins max. It's stunning and so cheap. I'd come here again and recommend to anyone. The staff are not rude maybe the guests are rude themselves because they've been nothing but polite and helpful to us."
