Albir Garden Resort All Inclusive & Aquapark

"Was feeling mixed opinions before coming to this hotel after reading reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. We arrived half way during UK half term and it was absolutely packed with people. We struggled to find sunbeds for the first part of our holiday, however, has the half term ended and people were going home, the pool area became much quieter. The pool area was dated in some areas, and there were a lot of wasps around - however his was due to people not picking up their rubbish/spilt drinks and not the hotel's fault directly. The entertainment team did a 'foam party' in the pool whilst we were there and it was brilliant! Such a good atmosphere. Also there was plenty of lifeguards at the pool everyday. The pool snack bar was good but was a bit repetitive. The other bar (for alcoholic drinks) was well stocked and I liked the fact branded spirits were included. Our apartment was very clean, although dated and needed a refresh in some areas, we all slept well and the air con worked great, as did the shower (the best shower I've had at a hotel in fact). The kitchen area was useable and had lots of storage and a fridge which was handy even though we were all inclusive. The hotel restaurant was very clean, and you could tell the kitchen staff and chefs really tried their hardest with the food with presentation and the variety, each night there was a different theme - our favourite was 'curry night'! The entertainment was average, same as anywhere, but there was something on every night and the staff worked very hard. The hotel grounds are lovely and well kept, and are host to some cats which didn't bother us but may do if you're not an animal person. Rooms were cleaned daily if you wanted it, with fresh towels. The area the hotel is in is absolutely fantastic, a supermarket over the road and more shops, bars and restaurants further down the road in Albir. We kind of wished we didn't go all inclusive as we would have liked to eat out more. The hotel's waterpark was fantastic and we spent a lot of time here. The only downside to it was there was no toilets there or a bar apart from a water station, so if you wanted these then you had to walk back over to the main pool area which could be an issue if you were a single parent with children. Overall we would return!"

"A wonderful week away with my family. Upon our arrival, we were fitted with all inclusive bands instantly. Our room wasn't quite ready (2pm) and we were advised we could go in for some lunch or use the bar, it would be ready in an hour (it was). Room: Standard apartment in H block, a short walk away from main facilities. Clean, spacious, quieter location with views of the mountains from both sides. Our bedroom over looked the play park which, at times got a little rowdy on a night but not usually past 11pm. Facilities: Pool area: Not too busy, clean and well maintained, close to bars and snack bar. Pool side toilets: Could have been cleaner and more well maintained but there were other toilets to use. Poolside bar: Got busy at times but didn't seem to be waiting for long. Closed at 7pm. Snack bar: Brilliant for the most part, a little inconsistent day to day. Closed at 7pm. Indoor bar area: Clean, the bar itself did get quite busy but queue time was less than 10 mins at the most during busy periods on a night. Unfortunately there is only one bar open after 7pm. Entertainment: Outstanding. The animation team were incredible, the events they put on were brilliant and they put a lot of energy in to getting everyone involved. We didn't use the water park but everyone seemed to be having a great time in there. Reception team were helpful. Restaurant: The food was good enough. Some days it was better than others but there was a variety and there was always something, even if we didn't fancy the main. Location: close to amenities, other bars and restaurants and public transport."

"So the rooms are dirty and umkept. They need a massive refurbishment. We are not fussy eaters ,but the restaurant is awful . Hot food is cold , not a great option of choices . Pool, water parks and bars are fantastic."
