"There were positives and negative with this trip so easily for me to list as follows…
Positives:
- Room is really spacious and comfortable. Bed is comfy, lots of room.
- Slides are great fun! Has two pools, one is for the slides. And two jacuzzis in the middle, although these are often occupied by children as a playground. The children’s pool was great and clearly loved by the kids.
- 4 poster beds around the pool which you can reserve for €30 a day or just chance and see if you get one.
- Food is good and lots of options. They even have joints of ham which they cut which was fantastic!
- Bar staff were so lovely and friendly!
- Beach is a 2 minute walk away and there are shops and bars on the beach front.
Negatives:
- We are an english family, this hotel is clearly aimed at spanish people. We weren’t told anything on arrival about food times or their special rice restaurants. We asked if they had the final of football on and they said no, we walked 30 mins to find it on and it turned out the hotel had it on the whole time. The communication in this hotel was awful, but i think it might be due to the lack of english. We got the impression that they found english annoying, guests were so rude, staff would serve spanish before us. We also weren’t told if the minibar drinks were included or had to pay.
- There was a school trip there at the same time as us, so restaurant was so busy and loud because of all these kids.
- Food: overall the food was good however we had a pork in sauce and the pork was completely raw. Luckily realised before eating. Hopefully no guest got ill!
- Timings - Dinner starts at 8pm which is incredibly late for english families. I think this is a traditional spanish time. However we were travelling with young children and a 18 month year old so this was tricky. Pool bar doesn’t open till midday either so if you’re sat in the outdoor area you have to walk back inside to get a drink.
- Pool - It didn’t open till 11am which felt such a shame, it was hot for the children so they were unable to get in the pool till late to cool down. This feels like such a mistake to open so late.
- Entertainment - All spanish focused, no one speaking english, not much variety of entertainment. English felt very isolated from this.
- Check in and out - Check in took us over half an hour. She wanted a booking code from a download which we were expecting to give. We thought love holidays would have provided all this. Check out was midday, our transfer wasn’t until 6pm. Like I said we were travelling with young children. We were told if we wanted an extra meal (so lunch) it would be €30 per adult and €18 for our 18 month old baby. Which is ridiculous, we also weren’t able to have any drinks unless we paid for each drink. As an all inclusive, and no transfer till 6pm, I felt this was very poor and very unusual. With other all inclusive a, we have been able to use all facilities and bars until transfer. This was not clearly communicated.
- Room cleaners - We had multiple occasions were we weren’t given any towels or towels weren’t replaced. One day we had no towels so I ask reception for some. They didn’t send someone up with them for an hour, even after us checking twice. We had an occasion where our wet towels which we hung up had been put wet in a ball on our chair and we hadn’t been given fresh ones so they were wet when we got back that evening. We also had the cleaners leave dirty cloths on the bedroom floor. It felt like a shame.
All in all the hotel did the job for the week, don’t think we would return or recommend but it does the job and we had a great week as a family regardless!"
