Playa de Regla

"The best thing about this hotel is its location. Directly beach front on some of the best beaches of the Costa de la Luz. We stayed here a few years ago, and as the town has very few good hotels, decided to return. Previously they were in the middle of renovations which meant a change in the breakfast and terrace area. Unfortunately there have been no upgrades to the bedroom facilities excepting instillation of air conditioning, which is now a legal requirement in Spain. The rooms are tired, very dated, although spotlessly clean. Breakfast was adequate."

"I stayed here for two nights with my partner, his parents and two friends. It has been perfect. The rooms, three doubles with sea views, are spacious, clean, with comfortable beds and shutters against the sun. The breakfast buffet was extensive in selection and of good quality and the view of the beach from the breakfast room and the bedrooms is perfect. You have to walk all of 2 minutes to get into the sea and a wealth of restaurants and bars are a short walk away. We will definitely be back. The only shortfall, if I had to pick one, was the bar underneath, which meant it was slightly noisey at bed time but, in honesty, it was great to have a bar so close and you could still hear waves over the impromptu spanish guitar playing in the bar."

"Although the rooms tend to be quite small, it is a very clean hotel. The staff is excellent and will do anything they can for you. The view of the ocean from the patio is magnificent. The Trinity Irish Pub is on the lower level, which has many different beers and spirits."
