Want to slot into a handy little pocket of Benalmádena? This place is just a few minutes’ walk from the seafront. Take a wander down the road for sandy stretches, a long promenade and easy beach bars, or head the other way for Paloma Park and Selwo Marina, which are ideal for family wanders and parrot spotting. The stylish marina, with its cafés, shops and boat trips, is an easy taxi or pleasant coastal walk away.
Back at the resort, there’s a main outdoor swimming pool, a children’s pool and usually an indoor option too, so you’ll be covered whatever the weather’s doing. Sun terraces and planted courtyards give you plenty of spots to flop with a book, and there are games areas and low-key activities to keep kids (and grown-ups) busy between swims.
And for food, you can take the flexible route. An on-site restaurant and bar look after breakfasts, snacks and relaxed dinners, and there’s often a takeaway-style menu if you fancy eating on your balcony. With self-catering kitchens, stocking up at nearby supermarkets is easy. If you want Costa del Sol sunshine, space to spread out and the freedom to mix eating in with meals out, this place makes for a very easy-going base.
