Alua Suites Fuerteventura

"Overall an underwhelming experience. Rooms were a decent size and comfortable (if a little dated), with good and quiet A/C. Hotel grounds were very pleasant and a nice selection of pools. A pretty good gym as well for this type of hotel, large with plenty of equipment (although this was also a little dated). All the staff were really nice and helpful, particularly restaurant and bar staff. The food and drink was a let down though, which at an all inclusive is a major factor. Evening meals were of a very mixed quality, some good nights and some very poor ones. The selection of food for children wasn't great. Breakfast was pretty good and desserts most nights were very good though. Not big drinkers in our group, but when they did drink they found cocktails and wine to not be of high quality. Overall, of the 5 all inclusive resorts we've been to in last few years (all at a similar price) this had the worst food and drink. We also had constant problems with the wifi, either failing to connect or being so slow it was almost unusable."

"Just misses the mark as a 4* hotel due to attention to detail in room and the poor quality of towels. However I recommend going MFC as the upgrade is well worth it with great pool area and separate restaurants and eating areas. Also have a fast track check in service. All the staff were amazing and friendly"

"Mixed Bag. Overall hotel was spacious and lovely with well maintained garden etc. Rooms very clean spacious and comfortable Staff were ok no one particularly went above and beyond but they did the job. Personally found housekeeping the most professional. Pools were clean and I saw staff cleaning etc , sun loungers were busy but you do manage to get them we were in half term and was very busy so I don't know if in the main summer holidays it would be the same? Entertainment was really good varied and really good singers too. Karaoke etc. Food was the biggest issue and the reason we would not return. I am a coeliac and in a nutshell they didn't have a clue . The labelling, lack of knowledge, quality was very poor and despite being informed beforehand and staff reiterating it was fine it really wasn't,! Depending on what lifeguard was in depended whether inflatables were allowed and if kids could enjoy themselves. Drinks were strong and plentiful. It has the potential to be a brilliant hotel but needs improvement!"
