"My wife and I stayed here with another couple for a week on half board the last week of may. We had a poolside room ,3095 on the ground floor in the adults section. Our room was spacious and clean with excellent toiletries and a walk in shower. The king size bed was very comfortable. Towels were changed every day. We enjoyed the food in general though like most buffets it could have been warmer, best to dine when it's just fresh out. There is an adults only dining area which was very nice but the food selection was smaller. We found the piano bar relaxing with a good array of drinks. The hotel is like a small village with well tended gardens and numerous pools, it's a 35 to 40 minute walk along a lovely coastal path to the harbour and the start of playa blanca s main area . The marina would be another 20 minute stroll. Taxis are cheap but there can be a long wait at night to get one back out. The bus stop is right outside the hotel door. Overall we enjoyed our stay , I wouldn't class the hotel as a five star but I would say it's it's a decent four. Finally we found the staff friendly, efficient and helpful"

"Just back from a week's stay, our first visit to Lanzarote. The reception area is large and welcoming. However, while everyone else arriving on our coach had rooms ready, ours wasn't. We were given a welcome drink and told they would let us know when the room was available. After waiting for around an hour, it became apparent we had been forgotten about. We stayed in a standard villa-style room. It was spacious and generally clean, although there were quite a few fingerprints on the TV and doors. The room was starting to look a little tired and we experienced a few issues during our stay. The biggest problem was that the main air-conditioning unit for a number of rooms was located on our roof and was extremely noisy at night. Staff did switch it off on most nights, but that meant no air conditioning, which would be far from ideal during hotter weather. The buffet was good overall, certainly better than many hotel buffets. However, fussy eaters or families with young children may find the choice somewhat limited. We found it best to time our visit when fresh meat or fish was being cooked, ensuring the main part of the meal was hot. Drinks service could be slow and inconsistent, but the staff worked incredibly hard and were always friendly. As half-board guests, we were told we could book three speciality restaurants. Unfortunately, they were either fully booked or not open during our stay. We managed to dine at Sakura, which was pleasant enough but felt a little rushed. One of the highlights was the new adults-only restaurant, Blue Moon. Having only recently opened, it offered a much calmer breakfast experience than the main buffet and the staff were lovely. We were also able to have dinner there one evening after being unable to use the other speciality restaurants. Although it is primarily buffet-style, there are a few cooked-to-order options. The steak skewers were particularly tasty. That said, I'm not sure I would have paid the supplement to dine there. A useful tip: make sure you request a buggy when arriving and departing if you have suitcases, as some rooms are quite a distance from reception. The adults-only pool was peaceful and had a good number of sunbeds, although the water was cold. We also visited the Bistro by the pool for lunch and drinks, which were both excellent, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Free water refill stations were available at the Bistro and, I believe, elsewhere around the resort, which was a nice touch. I particularly enjoyed the Piano Bar, especially the cocktails. Unfortunately, there was a major issue during our stay, with no power in our room on three separate days. Communication from the hotel was poor, with very few updates via the app or notices around the resort. Understandably, this caused frustration and uncertainty for many guests. The staff did their best, but the overall handling of the situation felt chaotic. As compensation, we were upgraded for our final two nights. While we appreciated the gesture, the disruption did impact our stay. We chose to make the most of it by spending those days away from the hotel. There is a gate at the rear of the hotel leading directly to a beautiful coastal path. Those with mobility issues should be aware that some sections are hilly and the paving nearer Flamingo Beach is uneven, but we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. There is also a bus stop directly outside the hotel. The No. 30 bus takes you to Marina Rubicón for just €1.40, where the Wednesday market is well worth a visit. We also enjoyed cocktails at Chiringuito Tropical (turn right out of the gate) and Marea Terraza Lounge Bar (turn left). Nearby, Sebastian's Greek Restaurant offers great views and tasty food, although it is slightly pricey and portions are on the smaller side. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday and had a good stay. However, in its current condition, I would rate the hotel closer to a 4-star than a 5-star property. There is noticeable maintenance required throughout the resort, and the plumbing and electrical issues we experienced detracted from what could otherwise have been a much better experience."

"Pros : - room spacious, balcony big, great amenities eg tea/coffee machine, toiletries, bath robes. -clean hotel and the room cleaners do a great job. -the room had a great sea view. -very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere -big pool with no issues getting sun loungers. -piano bar served great cocktails with amazing views. -breakfast had a good selection of food. -staff friendly -taxi rank just outside the hotel, very convenient. Cons : - without electricity 5 hours on Wednesday, all day Friday, and a few hours Saturday. No communication from the hotel as to what was happening - really poor service. -no water for a few hours Friday and Saturday. -buffet food is ‘sophisticated’ ie no pizza, burgers, nuggets, if you are a picky eater you will struggle. (The snack bar offers nuggs, burgers etc in a chafing dish, but is the same every day) -food is usually cold/lukewarm. -Italian & steakhouse à la carte restaurants unavailable to book on the app (looks like they are shut) -table service in the buffet area meaning sometimes you could be on your 2nd plate before you drink arrives, no option for pop/beers/wine on tap. -our room balcony never received any sun unfortunately. -the main pool was cold and also VERY salty which was weird -the location of the hotel - very secluded so not much to do around the area unless you get a taxi."
