Apartamentos Flamingo Lanzarote

"Great value apartments for the price paid. Basic, but they have everything you need and could perhaps do with a little update/modernising but for the price you can’t complain. Very spacious with table and chairs,sofas and a large fridge and was clean throughout. Decent hairdryer in the bathroom. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor,loved the huge balcony which was just steps from the pool. A few steps in the other direction and you’re out onto the ‘strip’ and next to the sea. Fantastic location only difficulty was choosing to go left or right as there’s so many options of bars/restaurants and shops all within walking distance. No noise heard from outside the apartments when inside. No air con but didn’t need it this time of year. Beds were comfortable. 4 of us shared an apartment and we found the hot water running out if showering in quick succession. Quickly discovered if you leave 10 mins between each person then it heats up again so bear this in mind if there’s a few of you sharing. We arrived after 4pm (reception closes at 4pm). Luckily we had read reviews about keys being in the key safe and emailed the apartments the day before for instructions and key code. Top tip if arriving after 4pm,there’s a contact form on their web page. Pool was very cold but we still went in. A heated pool would be a lovely addition. Felt very secure even with no reception as the gates are locked after 4pm and you have key access. No pool bar but we actually preferred this as could drink our own,and being very near to our room was a bonus. Lots of sunbeds and no sunbed wars at all. Noted an earlier review mentioned not many parasols. There was plenty of them to go around if needed so maybe they’ve had a few more brought in. Overall we will definitely return here if staying in PDC again. Thank you for a lovely stay in room 201!"
